How 20 Today works
A short selection of news, with a clear route to the source.
A daily selection, not a world ranking
Global highlights 20 briefs from a larger collection. Each category has its own selection of up to 20 stories, including briefs beyond the homepage. Source dates appear beside every story; they are not the time we selected it. Choose Global or UK near the top. UK draws from the full collection of briefs with a direct UK focus, including UK clubs competing overseas and cross-border UK affairs. Category and UK selections may contain fewer than 20. We show the actual count and do not add unrelated or unverified stories to fill spaces.
A story stays in the current briefing for up to 24 hours from selection, then moves to Earlier. A story replaced on the Global homepage is kept in its Earlier list with that reason shown. It can remain current in its category or the UK briefing until its own selection window ends. Adding a new brief does not reset the others’ clocks. The clock near expiry measures its time in our briefing, not the age of the event. There is no automatic breaking-news feed. If a new edition is not ready, we show that openly.
Where the facts come from
Each brief is written for 20 Today using the linked source. This edition uses official announcements, research institutions and sporting organisers. Their accounts reflect their own roles and perspectives. We attribute claims, separate future plans from completed events and distinguish a new report from the period it describes.
These are AI-assisted briefs checked against published sources, not original on-the-ground reporting. This launch edition has not received an independent human editorial or legal review.
What the pictures mean
The images are AI-generated conceptual illustrations made for this site. Open an image to enlarge it and see its label. They are not photographs, scientific data or reconstructions of the reported event. We do not import publisher photographs, social posts or video clips in this edition.
